Dushanbe Serena Hotel offers 85 luxury rooms and suites, 10 long-stay serviced apartments and 10 offices, incorporates conference and shopping facilities, 3 restaurants, state of the art gymnasium, spa and swimming pool on the rooftop.

Job Description
• Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes.
• Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers.
• Decorate pastries using different icings; toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting.
• Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget.
• Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
• Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently
• Identify staffing needs and help recruit and train personnel.
• Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards.
• Monitors and manages kitchen staffing levels to ensure employee development and talent acquisition to achieve and maintain store operational requirements.
• Utilizes existing tools to identify and prioritize communications and regularly uses discretion to filter communications to the store team. Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective kitchen operations.

Feb 2006 to Nov 2011: Senior Chef de Partie - Kabul Serena Hotel, Afghanistan.
A 177-room property with 17 suites, the hotel is located in the heart of town between the presidential palace and the Zarnegar Park. Catering to all NGO’s, Embassies and senior dignitaries from various countries.
